Continuing my Warlock run, I traveled to Lut Gohlein and faced the greatest test of my build yet.
One highlight was using the Horadric Cube with the new stash tab. This made combining and managing gems ridiculously quick and easy.

Outside of that, it was the same old (excellent) Act II. The Palace and Arcane Sanctuary remain two of the coolest looking zones in the game, and I enjoyed battling through them once again.

At the end of the act I faced my first real challenge, Duriel. This fight is generally a good early test of build viability. With my Warlock I’ve mostly been investing in the Demon tree, putting points into Goatman, who really stepped up in this fight.

The Goatman acted essentially as a tank, pulling hate from Duriel, while also doing the bulk of the damage. I just stood behind Duriel, doing whatever little damage I could, while summoning a new Goatman whenever the current one was low on health.

Whether or not this build / strategy will continue to be viable remains to be seen, but it certainly worked out alright during this sometimes tricky early game fight.
From the Duriel fight I got my first set item, Beserker’s Headgear. Have I mentioned how much I love the new Chronicle feature?

From here I headed east to continue to add to the Chronicle and test the viability of my Warlock…
